Dr. Nushrat Nazia

Nushrat Nazia received her Ph.D. in Public Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo in 2023, where her doctoral research focused on the spatial epidemiology of highly transmissible diseases, using COVID-19 outbreaks in Toronto as a case study. Her research interests include health statistics, spatial and spatiotemporal epidemiology, disease modeling, health equity, and healthy aging. She is currently working with Dr. Erjia Ge on projects examining the impacts of noise and nightlights on mental health illnesses.
