International Opportunity at Sun Yat-sen University, China, July 1 – August 31, 2025 |  Fully Funded | Public Environmental Health Focus

Are you a Master’s or PhD student passionate about environmental and public health research? We invite you to apply for an exciting Summer International Internship hosted by the School of Public Health at Sun Yat-set University in Guangzhou, China. This one-month academic exchange program is designed to foster global collaboration and support the next generation of public health researchers.

What’s Included: 

  • All travel, accommodation, and food expenses will be fully covered
  • A formal invitation letter will be provided for visa application

About the Host Institution:  

Established in 1976, Sun Yat-set’s School of Public Health is one of China’s leading public health institutions, with seven departments and two research centers. The school is home to a vibrant academic community, including over 1,400 students and numerous interdisciplinary research projects.

Internship Focus Areas:

Interns will collaborate with the university faculty and students on ongoing research projects addressing:

  • Outdoor and indoor air pollution
  • Greenness and climate change
  • Artificial lights at night and anthropogenic heat
  • Emerging environmental hazards (e.g., PFASs, microplastics, chlorinated paraffins)

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducting literature reviews
  • Managing and cleaning environmental health data
  • Assisting in data linkage and statistical analysis
  • Presenting findings to faculty and peers
  • Supporting manuscript preparation
  • Participating in field-based epidemiological investigation in cities like Naning, Shenzhen, and Sanya
