
Jackie Chen (He/Him) is a MSc student in Health Systems Research at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. Under the guidance of Dr. Erjia Ge, Jackie is involved in research exploring the comparative aspects of air pollution indicators and their relationship with mortality. His work is not only focused on the quantitative assessment of air quality but also strives to understand how these factors impact public health, playing a crucial role in advancing environmental and health policy development.
Before venturing into this field, Jackie had already earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Health Statistics. These academic achievements provide a solid foundation for his research endeavors. Hanghuan Yang (he/him) is a first-year MSc Biostatistics student at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. In November 2023, he became a member of the Ge-iSEE lab, where he serves as a website developer, actively contributing to the design and maintenance of the lab’s website. Additionally, he also worked as a research assistant at the Applied Health Research Centre (AHRC) at Unity Health Toronto, working under the supervision of Dr. Charles Keown-Stoneman. His primary focus is on addressing the mechanisms related to missing values in longitudinal studies.
Hanghuan’s academic journey began with a Honours Bachelor of Science degree specialized in Statistics – Statistical Machine Learning and Data Mining Stream at University of Toronto Scarborough. He is committed to leveraging machine learning and data science methodologies to address and find solutions for air pollution challenges.
